Upland Oktoberfest
September 22nd, 2012 3-10pm
Military Park, Downtown Indianapolis
Indianapolis may be 4,561.8 miles from the birthplace of Oktoberfest, but we’re bringing all the fun of a Munich beer tent to the Circle City with the first annual Upland Oktoberfest in Indy.
Don’t miss the live music, local beer, and German-style menu. Get your 1 liter commemorative mug and drink Upland’s Oktoberfest Bavarian-style Lager like a German!
Music
Upland Oktoberfest will feature a showcase of local musicians all day long, so while the beer flows, so does Indy’s talent.
Here’s the lineup:
3-4pm: the Kaleidostars
4:30-5:30pm: United States Three
6-7pm: The Shelby County Sinners
7:30-8:30pm: the Chardon Polka Band
9-10pm: the Jon Strahl Band featuring Luke Stanley
Admission

Beer
Upland Oktoberfest will feature a number of Upland beers, including (you guessed it) Oktoberfest Bavarian-style lager. Prost!
Food
What would an Oktoberfest be without a German-style menu? We’ll be dishing up bratwurst, schnitzel, potato pancakes, potato salad, giant pretzels, and streudel. Mahlzeit!

We won’t be able to accept credit cards at Upland Oktoberfest, however there will be ATMs onsite in case you run short on cash.
Parking
A paid parking garage can be accessed from nearby Washington Street, and IUPUI lots are available to the north of Military Park.
Seating
Upland Oktoberfest is general admission, so get there early to claim to your spot. We’ll have a number of tables and chairs, but not enough for everyone, so feel free to bring along your own lawn chairs.
All Ages Welcome
Though some sections of the park will be for patrons 21 and over, there’s plenty of space for the whole family.
